The first native from Puerto Vallarta who had the speciality in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Ph.D. Degree in stomatology. He finished the dental school at the Guadalajara University, Mexico in 1975, and from 1975 to 1977 he worked as a clincal instructor for the students at the orthodontic, endodontic and oral surgery department of the school of dentistry of the Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico.
